You can't beat the value

When I purchase anything, my overriding criteria is value--a very good product at a good price. This Garmin Nuvi 255W Refurbished fills the bill. First, you get a Garmin GPS unit which, based on my research, is the best around. I chose this particular Garmin model because I don't need a MP3 player, bluetooth, etc on a GPS unit--I have other electronics which are more focused and more adept at handling those functions. I want a good basic unit, with text to voice which handles GPS well and intuitively. I also wanted the wider screen.

Second, I have gotten to the point over the past couple of years when buying electronics that I would rather buy a refurbished unit than a new one. Refurbished Garmin Nuvi 255W Great product!

Item was exactly as described. Although Garmin 255W refurbished, it looked brand new, box included. I am not a tech savey person and was concerned about the degree of difficulty when first setting the product up. Hallelujah, it worked right out of the box. I was able to upload the 2010 maps with no problems. I had a small USB cord from my Kodak Z710 digital camera, so I did not have to go purchase one. We just came back from a sightseeing trip to Richmond, Va. and it was our best trip ever! Did not get lost one time, and did not have to stop and ask directions. If I made the turn too early, the trip was recalculated immediately and got me back on track. After going out to eat at a Cracker Barrel my wife wanted to go to a CVS. So, I went to the POI under pharmacy, entered CVS and was directed to one just two tenths of a mile away. Then she wanted to go to WalMart, so I repeated the aforementioned, and we were astonished to find one only one tenth of a mile away. Everybody else can say what they want about this product, but I think it is the best thing to come along since peanut butter and jelly! Received the item in record time. We have always had very pleasant experiences with Amazon!
